Time Period

Hey~

Well, I just finished reading Red is for Remembrance...I hope some of you know what I'm talking about it...one of the BEST books in the WORLD! Ahem, besides Harry Potter. I gotta say I love the latest installment of the series and the last part made me cry as always...*sniff sniff*...I stayed up until 2am to finsih the book I got that day and I woke up at noon today...hehehe...I'm getting lazy by the second...I gotta break that habit before school starts or I'm gonna be sleeping during Geometry...uh, which I do anyways...

So...I had this total random thought while I was watching Van Helsing. I was watching with my friend who came over and I haven't watched it in a long time...and the girl who was wearing some kinda corset, reminded me of something...and it made me think of the book A Great and Terrible Beauty, which also talks about girls in corsets,,,which also led me to thinking about PotC and the part where Johnny Depp helps Kiera Knightly with the corset so she can breathe, after she fell over the cliff...and yes, I know, a LOT of thinking, but it made me think of what it would be like to live in the 1800's or even before that like the Medieval times or the Renaissance...you know, girls in tight corsets, in big dresses with like a metal hoop thingy under it, and wearing hats and stuff...I always find History really interesting, although some people think, 'Its in the past, now lets live the future' or other kinds of saying the kids come up with saying History sucks. I'm pretty good at History if I say so myself, because I have a knack for remembering things just once after I read it or see it. That's why I never write in those planner thingies they give you in the beginning of the year cuz I have almost a photographic memory...and I have proof for that, which is that I always did my homework like a good little girl should. *gags* sometimes it amazes me so how much of a goody-two-shoe I am...

But back to my point, I wanna know what it feels like to live back then...I hate the time period I'm living in right now, (except invention of computers and internet) because there is a war going on and people can't go some place because you live in a certain area *coughusacough* That just bugs me. I wanna know what it feels like to have live in the past where everything you did, you had to work for it. Not like the celebrity these days. *coughparishiltoncough*. Although, there were some problems as to that women did not have the respect or anything for the matter, angers me so. Women were just thought as breeding machines or something pretty you own. Ugh, guys suck. Even back then.

But, I always fantasized about going to balls and dressing up, going to the castle and dancing...like fairy tales...with the exception that there would be no man helping when I'm in trouble like some damsel in distress, cuz I hate how the prince or the hero gets all the praise and the girl. Now that is fucked up. Girls can get themselves out of trouble if they wanted too!

hehehe, well, I think I'm gonna go get some food. I'm starving...
